Chinese universities, University of Hong Kong and University of Macao,
squeezed into the top 10 of the world’s most international universities
in 2016, according to a new list published by Times Higher Education on
Thursday.

The latest list showed that University of Hong Kong ranked third and
University of Macao seized the sixth place.

World’s Most International Universities Ranking 2016 by The Times Higher
Education included 200 universities from 28 countries. It employed
indicators such as the proportion of international staff, the number of
international students and research papers published with at least one
co-author from another country of each institution.
2016全球大学国际化水平排名是由《泰晤士报》高等教育从28个国家的200所大学选出。它采用了如下指标，比如国际员工的比例，国际学生的数量，每个学院至少有一个不同国家的作者合著的研究论文出版等。
Qatar University claimed the most international institution, marking the
first time a Middle Eastern university has topped the list.

The remaining of the top 10 were the University of Luxembourg (second),
Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (fourth), University of Geneva
(fifth), ETH Zurich - Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich
(seventh), University of St. Gallen (eighth), National University of
Singapore (ninth) and Imperial College London (10th).

The survey also revealed that London enjoyed the largest number of the
world’s international universities, with 15 among on the top 200 list,
including six in top 30, which were the Imperial College London (10th),
University College London (18th), King’s College London (20th), London
School of Economics and Political Science (22nd), Queen Mary University
of London (23rd) and Royal Holloway, University of London (30th).
